FIND ME!

Good morning! Today, I would like to talk to you about allergies. Before I begin, I want to read this amazing feedback that I received on my iTunes podcast. I am so thankful, first of all, that I have so many reviews on here and lots of five stars. I honestly think they're all five stars. I'm so, so honored that you love my podcast that much! You know, it was hard to step out and just start talking into a microphone. It's hard to talk to audiences, but it kind of feels like you're talking to yourself on a podcast. I sometimes wonder if I'm going to be received well or if this information is even valuable because I don't want to waste people's time and I don't want to sound stupid! You all have just blessed me with these reviews and have encouraged me to keep going, so thank you so much. If you write a review, I'll read it on a future podcast. The title of the one I'm going to read today is, "Melissa hits all the marks" and the author is disappointed56. Let me just say that that struck me since this is an amazing review that they wrote. It just blesses me that it was not a disappointment to them. It says, "I love this podcast! Melissa covers homeopathy with God's love as the biggest gift, southern charm, Christian focus and lots of information on homeopathic medicine. It doesn't get any better!" With a smiley face emoji and, and hallelujah emoji. Love it, love it, love it. Thank you so much! I'm thankful that you listen, and I'm thankful that you all listen. Please, if you haven't written a review yet, I would love to read it and would love your feedback to help me keep getting better.

Let's move on! Today, I'm going to go through my Allergies Guide. If you don't have my Allergies Guide, it's on my website, melissacrenshaw.com. When the pop-up window comes up or when you click on one of the pages, you just stick your email address in there and this will be emailed to you immediately. Get the Allergies Guide, print it, and turn it into the little booklet. If you have my Allergies Guide already, push pause, go grab it, and let's go through it together because I want to do some really good explanations here.

Allergies are something that are year-round. No matter what time of year you're listening to this, you may have allergies or know someone who does. The front page says, "How to Address Allergies with Homeopathy." The inside of the front page has my products and services. You can learn more about my classes, consultations, this podcast, my blog, etc, so check out those links. If you look at the guide live on your computer, then you can just click right on the links.

Page 2 really just talks about what allergies are. If you need the allergies guide, you know what they are, right? I did want to talk about what causes them. What causes allergies? We can speculate, and different practitioners will tell you different things. One might say it’s poor diet, while another says Candida, and yet another may say toxic overload. From a homeopathic point of view, their cause is irrelevant, and avoidance is not a cure. If you find out that it's gluten or dairy that's causing you to have these allergies, you can stop consuming those things, but you won't uproot the condition. If you start having those things again in the future, you're going to have allergies again. Homeopathy will uproot the cause of the condition, so it really doesn't matter what the cause is. It can be a gut health issue, it can be hormone related, etc.

Then Page 2 goes through the symptoms of allergies. Page 2 of the Allergies Guide is how homeopathy can provide relief. Right off the bat, I'm giving you my hay fever protocols. I want to do a little bit of explanation on this. On the back page is my story. If you've had a minute to read that, then you would also hear the same thing in Episode One of this this podcast. In Episode One, and on the back page of this allergies guide, I tell my story of lifelong allergies, suffering terribly. When I was five, my doctor prescribed me some medication. Maybe it was over-the-counter, I'm not sure. I didn't know how to swallow pills yet, so my mom had to open the capsules and put it in a drink or something. It was a terrible process! The whole thing was stressful. I hated the way it made me feel - I felt like a zombie. I did that for I don't know how long, maybe until I was a teenager. Then I just decided that I hated that feeling and that I wasn't going to take anything. I didn't know there was an alternative, so I suffered and was miserable. My eyes would be swollen and looked like they were half closed. I was walking around like this at school with my eyes half closed and people would make jokes and think that I was doing something to cause my eyes to look like that. I would be sneezing, sniffing and clearing my throat all the time, sneezing. I had a sore throat, itchy throat, itchy mouth, tongue, roof of my mouth. My throat was itching. My nose was itching. My ears and eyes were itching. I was constantly rubbing my eyes. I'm surprised that I have any eyelashes left! If you're watching this on the video, you might think I don't have any eyelashes left, but I just don't have any makeup on right now. Thankfully, I do have eyelashes! I had constant itching everywhere and was constantly sneezing. It was terrible. Thankfully, when I found homeopathy, I came up with this protocol that I'm going to go through with you on Page 2. I went to a repertory, looked up my symptoms, and I put these medicines together. I want to tell you the process of how I really did this because it was hard to write into a little booklet.

What I started with was Kali Mur, or Kali Muriaticum 30c. That was the only thing that I took, and that brought some relief. That's why, in this booklet, I say number one, start with Kali Mur in a 30 or a 200 because I ended up going to 200. That is good for nasal congestion, too. I would have a really stuffed up nose, and sometimes it would be stuffy and running. Kali Mur is indicated when there's nasal congestion with thick sticky white mucus. The person may have a cough associated with the mucus in the throat and a sensation as if the ears are plugged.

Number two says Allium Cepa 30 or 200, and it tells all of the things that Allium Cepa would be indicated for. Allium Cepa 30 or 200 will be useful in hay fever and coryza with lots of sneezing, with acrid nasal discharges, and laryngeal symptoms. This cold or hay fever is made worse by cold, damp weather and the ears may be itching. The eyes may be itching, burning and watering profusely. Eyelids may be swollen and red, the nose drips from the profuse watery discharge, and the discharge may burn the nose or upper lip. The voice may be hoarse and there may be a tickle in the throat. Those would be indications for Allium Cepa. I had all of that plus the Kali Mur indications.

Apis in a 30 or 200 is great when the allergies are accompanied by hives, itching, stinging, pains, swelling, burning, edema of the face and eyelids, puffiness, spasmodic cough, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, and/or sleepiness. Don't use for a person in the first trimester of pregnancy. I recognized my symptoms and came up with these three medicines and decided I'm going to take all three of them. This was before I found the Banerjis and Joette Calabrese, so I didn't even know anything about protocols or mixing remedies. In fact, I had learned in school that we don't really mix remedies and should give just one remedy at a time. I was so miserable that I didn't care and mixed all of them. Kali Mur had provided some relief, but I wanted more relief and I wanted a faster relief. That's what protocols and mixing remedies does - it brings you faster relief. I mixed them all together, and that was the key. I didn't take notes back then, but I would guess I took these three remedies together for about 18 months, and then I had complete relief. I was having relief that whole time, every time I took the remedy, the occurrences happened less frequently over time, and the duration of each episode was shorter over time. So I just kept taking the remedy every time I needed it. I took the remedy, I took the remedy, I took the remedy. Around 18 months later, my allergies were completely gone to where I didn't need the protocol anymore, ever again. That was years and years ago. I can safely say, it's amazing. I'm done with that!

You can also make a water dose of these remedies. You can find instructions on how to make a water dose on my YouTube channel which is linked in the show notes.

Page 3: Chronic allergies and hay fever. Calc Carb 200 every other day may be used to uproot the condition. Another thing that you can do, what I really like to do now, is Calc Carb 30 every day instead of 200 every other day. If you're like me, then it's hard to get into a good routine when you're taking a remedy every other day, or once a week. If you're taking something every day, it becomes a habit and you can get into a good routine and you won't forget it. Calc Carb 30 everyday is what I would recommend to uproot the condition. Calc Carb may not bring immediate relief, but its job is to uproot the condition so that you may be using this along with my allergy protocol on Page 2. It can take many months or even a year or more of taking this to see freedom from allergies, but you'll be getting relief in the meantime with my allergy protocol. Let me pause and say my allergy protocol alone uprooted my allergies - I didn't use Calc Carb. In fact, I have never used Calc Carb. I feel like I do need Calc Carb at this point for other reasons, but I've never used it yet. Calc Carb is a constitutional remedy and is one of the polychrests, ranking right up near the top with Sulphur and Lycopodium at the head of the antipsorics. You might be asking, "what is constitutional remedy? What is polychrest? What is antipsoric?" You can learn about all of that in my mentorship program. I do dig deeper into those things in there.

Let's say your allergy is not environmental, but you have a big allergy to animals. You love animals and you want to have a dog or a cat or a horse, but you can't because you're allergic. These allergies can be addressed with Tuberculinum Bovinum 200c every 14 days. This nosode, another term covered in my mentorship program, has an affinity to asthma, allergies, bronchopneumonia, colds, coughs, lung disorders, sore throats, and tuberculosis. These people tend to catch cold easily and be highly sensitive to pet hair. That also reminds me that Calc Carb is another one for people who get sick really easily. If your kids or you are prone to catch every cold that comes through or you get sick multiple times a year, you need Calc Carb 30 every day. But if you get sick easily and you have all these allergies to animals and have other things that you deal with like asthma and allergies like I just named, then you might consider Tuberculinum Bovinum.

Postnasal drip - I had that too, and it was annoying, but my allergy protocol took care of that. Let's say you only have postnasal drip and you want to just take a remedy for that - that would be Sanguinaria 200 twice per day, especially when there's a dry tickling cough associated with it. The throat may be burning and red from the watery constant drip, but it might not be. Again, the protocol for postnasal drip is Sanguinaria 200 twice per day.  If you have been exposed to mold or you are allergic to mold or having allergies because of mold, then consider Nat Phos, Natrum Phosphoricum, 3x every three days. That can address this specific allergy. Of course, removing the mold is necessary.

The last one is for urticaria, which is also known as hives, is Antimonium Crud 6c, every hour until better for immediate relief or Apis 6c few hours. Remember not to use Apis in the first trimester of pregnancy.

All right, let's go over to Page 4: What else can I do? Homeopathy is a safe and gentle way that can stand alone. Waiting on a chronic condition to be uprooted can be like watching paint dry, so here are some tips to know that it's working.

1. Before you begin, write down each symptom and score it from 0 to 10. A zero means there are no symptoms left at all. 10 means it's the worst that you can imagine, and it's disrupting your life.

2. Once you begin the remedies that you've chosen to take, write down the start date and make a plan to revisit your symptom scores every eight weeks. During this eight weeks, you should have some relief but likely still need to take the remedies because your condition is not uprooted yet.

3. At the end of eight weeks, rescore your symptoms, write down the new scores, and compare them to look at your progress. If there has been even one number change in the right direction, then keep going. You're looking for less frequent and less severe symptoms. Since this takes time, the changes may be very subtle, like watching paint dry, which is why you must keep copious notes. Take lots of notes however you can do that! Busy mamas, do a voice text to yourself. Don't make it complicated. You don't have to sit down and write out a book every day. Do a voice text to yourself, get on Voxer and make notes to yourself in there, send yourself a text, send yourself an email, get on your Notes app on your phone and just voice it.

If you need more help, please let me know! I would be happy to help you get these allergies uprooted.
